Executive Director: Michael Gutierrez

Michael Gutierrez grew up in Santa Fe Springs and attended local schools within the neighborhood. After graduating from Santa Fe High School, Michael attended Azusa Pacific and earned his Bachelors in Youth Ministry. Once graduated from APU, Michael moved six hours north to the beach town of Santa Cruz. Although Michael loved Santa Cruz and still talks about it fondly, God put it on his heart after spending a year there to return home. At first, Michael was solely focused on youth ministry and walking with young people, but after some time, his heart began to grow increasingly for community development and community outreach. Now, Michael leads Bernabe as the Executive Director as Bernabe seeks to make an impact in the lives of children, youth and families in Norwalk, Downey and Santa Fe Springs.

Marketing Strategist: Allison Macey

Growing up in Downey, Allison Macey attended the church that housed Bernabe, Redeemer Covenant Church as a child. Through her studies in sociology and her experience doing marketing for various non-profits and small businesses, she grew a heart for both community outreach and community events. With this heart, in 2025, Allison came on staff at Bernabe, to grow Bernabe’s marketing efforts as well as lead various events such as the Christmas Thrift Store, which she had started in 2024 and now hosts over 200 people for free clothes, toys and household items each December.
