In 2003, two local churches on the Corner of Fairford and Florence (Redeemer Covenant Church and El Encino Covenant Church) desired to be the church outside of its four walls. They wanted to get into the community and make an impact in the lives of children, teenagers, adults and families alike. After thinking and praying about what to do about their heart longings, Bernabe Community Center was founded as a 501c3. Since that moment in 2003, Bernabe has served its community through various programs and services. At the beginning, it was all about Athletics, Counseling and Education. These days, Bernabe is all about mentorship and community development. However, despite the changes, after 20 years, Bernabe has remained the same-committed to servings its community and needs that come up.

Bernabe Community Center’s mission statement is: “We exist to serve and support residents in our community so they may experience God’s love as their needs are met.”
